The Chetek Weyerhaeuser Area School District recognizes that preventative dental care is the best way to help prevent unwanted dental emergencies. Once again our school district is working with the NorthLakes Community Dental Clinic to provide preventative dental care to ALL STUDENTS pre-K through 12th grade at NO CHARGE.
The NorthLakes Community Dental Clinic offers a preventative dental program that is funded in part by Wisconsin Seal-A-Smile in collaboration of the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin and the Division of Public Oral Health Program.
The NorthLakes Dental Clinic will send a team of dental professionals to the school to provide dental services during school hours. Their first visit will likely begin in December. Their comprehensive preventative program includes three fluoride applications spread throughout the year. At one of these three visits, students also receive a cleaning and dental sealants as necessary. Again these services are provided to all students pre-K through 12th grade regardless of insurance status at NO CHARGE.
If you would like to have your child participate in this program, please complete a permission form and return the completed form to the nurse’s office in your child’s school. Permission forms can be completed online here. A printable PDF form is also available here and/or available in the nurse’s office upon request. Please feel free to contact school nurse Jessica Rundhaug with any questions at jrundhaug@cwasd.k12.wi.us, or by calling 715-924-3136, x2052.
