CWHS Announces Class of 2026 Valedictorians, Salutatorian
Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District is proud to announce the valedictorians and salutatorian of the CWHS Graduating Class of 2026. The valedictorians are Dagmar Beckel and Calli Johnson. The salutatorian is Aiden Becker.
Dagmar Beckel, of Bloomer, is the daughter of Andy and Dagmar Beckel. She is currently employed with the Golden Galf Company in Bloomer. Throughout her high school career, Beckel has been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including Girls’ Varsity Golf, Band, Band Council, Yearbook, Freshmen Mentors, Roselawn Mentors, National Honor Society, IT-Cybersecurity Team, SkillsUSA (Parliamentarian), CW App Team (Founder & Organizer), and PBnJ Band (Founder & Organizer). She also played softball and is the Sound Technician for Drama Club, choir concerts, and the Variety Show. In the fall she plans to attend UW-Madison to double major in Business and Computer Science, and later work in the Computer Science Industry as a Computer Programmer.
Calli Johnson, of Chetek, is the daughter of Mark and Haley Johnson. She works at Dove Healthcare in Bloomer and for Surge Nutrition. During high school, Johnson was active Volleyball (Captain), Softball, Basketball, Track, NHS (Secretary), Spanish Club, Junior Achievement, and Freshmen Mentors. She also volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, a youth volleyball coach and as a volleyball summer school coach. Upon graduation, Johnson intends to attend the University of St. Thomas to study nutrition. Upon earning her Bachelor’s Degree, she hopes to work towards becoming a Physician’s Assistant.
Aiden Becker, of Chetek, is the son of Mel Becker and Daniel Becker. He often can be seen as a young referee and umpire in the area. Over his high school career, Becker participated in Football, Baseball, Freshmen Mentors, NHS, Roselawn Mentors, FBLA, Spanish Club, and the Ice Fishing Team. Becker will attend The College of St. Scholastica this fall and plans on majoring in Business Management and Administration, with a minor in Kinesiology. After college, he hopes to open up his own athletic training facility.
Commencement ceremonies for the CWHS Class of 2026 will take place Saturday, May 23 at 1 p.m.
